  • 「うまれた」ものを主体的に表現する場合には、"born"を用いる。

    • Born three years earlier, he was the eldest of his siblings.

      3年早く生まれて、彼は兄弟の最年長であった。

  • born(e) to ～ （～に生まれる）の表現は、"born"も"borne"も用いる。
