- Benson (1964) では声調クラスの分類は「クラス9」で、他に同クラスの3音節語幹語には kĩng'aurũ、mbahaca、mwarimũ、baatĩrĩ などがある。
mũthigiũ クラス3（複数: mĩthigiũ）
- 特定のウルシ科の低木。Searsia natalensis (syn. Rhus natalensis[2][3][4][1][5]) や S. pyroides (syn. R. vulgaris[4][1])、R. ruspolii[1]。伝統的に産後の痛み止めに用いられている[4][5]。
