↑ ndongoria の語について、Barra (1960) はヤギ（英: goat）としているが、Ndegwa (2006) や Gitau (2008) のように牛（前者は bull、後者は cow）としたり、Kiruhi (2006) や Loughran (2010) のように羊（英: sheep）としたりする例もあり、杜 (2015) は「牛」として解説を行うなど、訳語が一定しない。Wanjohi (2001) は具体的に何の動物であるかは限定していない。
