名詞 編集
- ムラサキ科カキバチシャノキ属の高木 (wp)の一つ、ムクマリ、コルディア・アフリカーナ (wp) (Cordia africana、シノニム: C. abyssinica, C. holstii)。全体を覆う白い花をつけ[3]、養蜂用の筒や腰掛けを作るための材木として用いられる[4]。またニェリ県では樹皮が煎じ薬として腸チフス (wp)や高血圧 (wp)、胸部の感染症に対して使用されたり、抗腫瘍薬や強心剤 (wp)として用いられたりすることが報告されている[5]が、特に根の皮は咳に対して、またコレウス・フォルスコリ (wp)（mũigoya）やキョウチクトウ科クロバナカズラ属の Periploca linearifolia（mũimba-igũrũ）の根と共に煮沸して出てきた煮汁が気管支炎 (wp)ではない胸部の風邪（rũhayo）に対して用いられるとの言及が Leakey (1977) にある[6]。
